The Athare Patil Public School was established in 1987. The moving and inspiring spirits who consecrated their lives for the education of the rural masses were Late Chandrabhan Athare Patil (A great revolutionary, social reformer, educationist, freedom fighter and Member of Parliament ) and Late Vilasrao Athare Patil (dedicated educationist, visionary and the person who brought Public school education to the doorstep of the rural masses.)

The Chandrabhan Athare Patil Gram Navodaya Trust which is registered under Societies Registration Act of 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act XXIX of 1950, has been established in his name in order to fulfill his cherished dreams and carry out his unfinished task.
